Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in supporting M2T and helping underprivileged children and people of Africa! Donations are always needed and 100% of all donations are used in our projects.

You may also support M2T by volunteering. Volunteer opportunities exist here in the United States and on location at several of our projects in Kenya. We cherish our volunteers and donors as the foundation of M2T. Volunteers give generously of their time and services to assist underprivileged people of Africa in many ways. We look forward to working with you to accomplish M2T’s mission to provide health care, education and conservation in Africa.

Our dedication to health care, education and conservation begins by building and improving hospitals, schools and living spaces for underprivileged children. We welcome our On Location In Africa volunteers to New Hope Orphanage, Fanaka Schools/ Mt. Olive School For Girls, Esiteti Primary School and other projects. You will live and work at the project, experience the culture and customs of the people, make friends and share stories and laughter as you work on your assigned projects.

Volunteers can apply to work at one of our projects. No special training is required; there are supervisory people on-site who will direct you in specific work to help the children and families. Our projects house a variety of people and cultures, including HIV positive children. We welcome volunteers who are tolerant and understanding of the people we serve and their culture, and who are committed to sharing and cooperating respectfully. At M2T, we do our best to achieve a harmonious and peaceful atmosphere at each project, and our volunteers must also express solidarity, reciprocity and understanding.

Please see the following link for a list of the Responsibilities and Duties of Volunteers On Location In Africa for those who wish to volunteer at one of our projects in Africa. Also, note that all volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, and all volunteers must clear a background check, before beginning their volunteer work.

This volunteer work is not a vacation, but it is extremely rewarding. If you are ready to adapt, have the ability to live in a rural and impoverished community, and are emotionally and physically prepared to volunteer and be of service, we encourage you to contact M2T for the experience of a lifetime. To volunteer to work at one of our projects in Africa or for other volunteer opportunities in the US, please complete and submit our online Volunteer Application. You may also contact M2T at barbara@marchtothetop.com to inquire about opportunities.
